    2007 Honda Accord
I have a 2007 Honda Accord, my engine light came on. I had it read and it returned as, Rocker Arm Actuator bank 1 stuck. What is wrong?

I suspect you have not been changing your oil and filter frequently enough in your VTEC engine. Only use full synthetic 5W-20 engine oil (e.g. Mobil 1 or Pennzoil Platinum) in your VTEC engine. Change the oil and premium filter every 6,000 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first. Your engine is likely starting to sludge up, which is very bad for a VTEC engine. One or more of the VTEC intake valve slide pins are likely hanging up and not sliding into or out of position properly.

    Course of Action:

. Change the oil and filter with Mobil 1 SAE 5W-20 and a Mobil 1 filter, when the engine is at normal operating temperature. Ensure the oil comes up to the top of the "FULL" Line.

    . Clean any VTEC strainers.

. Replace the VTEC Oil Pressure Switch, if the problem persists.

I have've been getting the oil and filter change on a regular. I always reset my %, when it get to 5% or lower I have it changed. I also make sure I use the 5W. Thanks for you suggestions and will follow through with cleaning and changing the VTech switch..
