I have a 30+ year console TV in my home office that comes on at unpredictable times. I believe you're correct that it is caused by infrared because I have several devices (wireless mouse, DVD remote, TV remote, cordless phone w/answering machine) all within 6 ft. of the TV. Three questions:
1. Would buying a TV with newer technology skirt this problem?
2. If not, how do I find out which device(s) is causing this?
3. Can you recommend a practical solution?
Your help would be appreciated.
