If they are doing fingerprints... odds are they also asked you if you have been convicted of a crime and likely even just arrested.
If you lie on that... they have every reason to reject you and if they find out years from now... its still grounds for firing.
Ok, if they are doing fingerprints ( which checks your Identity) they also run a criminal records history though NCIC ( if in the US) which will show any conviction that you have had. If you lied to them, you can expect to be fired.
What shows up on a live scan finger print? Anybody help me please thanks!
Livescans for teachers run through all the US for any criminal history, then through the FBI. It is very extensive and takes many months to receive clearance.
Was you asked on your application if you have ever been arrested? If so what did you answer?
OK... so then you have been honest thus far... An arrest isn't a conviction. If they didn't ask if you was arrested, you didn't lie.
However depending on the job.. and what the arrest was for... a later conviction might make you ineligible for the job even after you are hired.
