Today I am experiencing the occasional 'lightning bolt' between 2 teeth to the side of my front teeth?

Ibuprofen doesn't seem to touch it and although excrutiating pain when it happens, it goes as quick as it came? It's like 1 pulse of severe pain, as if the nerve is going into spasm or something?

What could be causing this. I take good care of my teeth, but it's really painful when it occurs.
