This Amana dryer is about 13 years old, and has had no repairs before. Recently, a loud constant squeaky noise developed. I 'think' that it is the bearing, because the sound appears to come from the back of the dryer. This model has a large stainless steel tub - it is really a cylinder, with the back portion staying stationery.

Does someone have a schematic, so I can see what is behind that stationery portion, before I 'dig' in.
Does someone have experience with this model and make?

You have worn out support rollers. Clean the dryer well and replace the rollers. Take it all apart to clean it and don't miss anything. Replace the belt, too, and lubricate all moving parts with white lithium grease. Here's some manuals: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/8010163/Maytag%20Dryers.zip
