    Inpatient criteria disclosure
Is it against the law for my hospital to give me a copy, or tell me verbally, of the criteria they use to determine the status of a hospitalized patient i.e. inpatient, outpatient, observation etc.

No, they are explaining procedure not mentioning patients names. How else could they inform you?

What do you mean by "my" hospital? You work there? You're a patient there? You own the hospital?

Without knowing the situation it appears that they are merely informing you how patients are "graded" when care is concerned.
