    Inside the gas tank. You'll have to remove the rear seat for access. If you can hear the fuel pump run for 2 seconds, when you turn the ignition key to ON (Position II), it is likely okay. I have never seen a bad Honda fuel pump, even though many other people have replaced them. Go slow--it could save you a lot of money and aggravation.

    If the fuel pump doesn't run, check all under dash and under hood fuses with a test light or multimeter; clean the main ECM ground, located on the thermostat housing; and ensure the Check Engine Light comes on for 2 seconds and then goes out, when the ignition switch is turned to ON (Position II).
