17 year old high school drop out.
Can I get child support stopped if my daughter quit school a year ago and still hasn't taken her GED test. She also is able to work.

Until she finished school. She has had many chances to take the test but makes excuses not to.

If that's EXACTLY what the court order stated then yes payments can cease.

If the Order says she MUST be a student and she is no longer a student, yes, child support stops. If she is out of school and waiting to take an exam she is not a student.

I suspect it's until she turns 18 or finishes school, whichever is later.

Otherwise a non-custodial parent could avoid child support if a 6-year old isn't going to school. That wouldn't make sense.
