What to do if 16 year old is always sleepy?
My 16 year old grandson is hard to awaken in the morning and when gets out of school he wants to sleep for hours. I am sure this doesn't help to sleep at night. What to do?

Does he stay up all night gaming or on his phone?

1 Stays up nights as Wondergirl suggests
    2 Smokes pot
3 Is eating unhealthy diet or is depressed

Has anyone sat down with him for a non-confrontational heart to heart?

He might be up playing a game or on the computer. I go to bed before he does to get up and go to work. I have even tried to get up during to the night to check to see if he is asleep, he usually is.

    Do nothing. It's perfectly normal.

I seem to remember reading comics with a flashlight (back in the 50s!) and hiding them quickly when I heard footsteps...

It's not normal behaviour, it's behaviour based on habit.

They don't say, "Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise" for no reason.
