How long will it take alcohol to leave the sysem after 5 months of a binge
Hi my mother has binge drank on lager for 5 months now. She has stopped. She has continuously drank water and ate throughout. How long will it take for the alcohol to leave her system ?

The presence of systemic alcohol isn't the problem. That will be gone within about 72 hours maximum. The main concern is in how her system readjusts from prolonged toxic effects. There are vitamin deficiencies, altered neurological function, digestive, etc.

The main concern is seizure after prolonged excessive drinking and it's advisable to be very observant for about 30 days. The condition of delirium tremens often has a delayed onset. DT isn't common but can occur.

All of the foregoing are reversible it's simply a matter of time. You might want to read through the following just to be safe:

    Delirium tremens
