I'm freaking out... had sex for the first time.. what are some side effects?
On Thursday me and my BF lost our virginity to each other C: but now I'm scared... It was hurting when we first began so we stopped then we tried it again and it didn't hurt I didn't feel anything actually.. After the whole thing (it was amazing!) I noticed I bled a little bit but I thought that was normal because it was our first time... then the next day came around and I was just sore on Saturday I started bleeding a lot! And that has been happening since... I'm scared I don't know if it normal or why... It's not my period because a week before that I had my period... & I'm scared to go to the doctors :S

Why are you scared to go to the doctor ? Doctors are a regular part of our life and as a women and as you become sexually active you will be seeing your doctor a lot.
You will need annual ( yearly) check ups (female) and of course perhaps be getting various infections that will need to be seen about.

Of course the most common side effect is pregnancy, So I assume you were already on birth control, or at least he used a condom.

Let me guess, you are scared to go to the doctors because you are too young to be engaging in sexual intercourse and don't want anyone to know you lost your virginity!

Well this is one of the side effects. If you are going to engage in adult behaviors, you have to accept the adult consequences. One of those consequences is you have to make adult decisions about caring for yourself. If you are bleeding more than you think normal, then you need to see a doctor.

Well I do go to the doctor annually it's just that sex is wrong according to family traditions and now that I'm 18 my parents are on what I do more than ever... But I'll find a way to see a doctor... yes we used a condom, I don't plan on getting pregnant anytime soon... Thank you C:

If you are 18, you are old enough to make your own decisions. By teaching that sex is wrong, you parents have made it difficult for you. Sex, in itself is not wrong. What is wrong is risking health and future strictly for a few moments of pleasure.

At 18 you should be able to see your doctor on your own.
