    Charges lessened?
    I was charged with DV 8 years ago and served 1 day in jail and served 2 years probation along with a batterers intervention class. I just went to the courts today as I was going to try to get a pardon. When I got to the court it was labeled as a class d assault. Does that mean that I don't have a DV on my record? It was in Maine

    If there is a conviction, there is a record.
