This will sound bad to some but others will understand. I'm married, Live in US. met a woman in the UK. I want to move to her and live. Want to get divorced from over there. She wants the same thing as it is getting harder for us to just call and talk over internet/phone because it just makes us want to be together more quicker. Neither of us have money to make flights back and forth so it is almost a one time deal for me. I want to go over and sltay. ANY advice is welcome

The UK doesn't allow bigamy...

You have to get divorced BEFORE you can get married.

If you wait to get divorced you will be illegal long before it takes place...

I did... you both haven't thought this through very well... you can't just pack up and move to any country you want... married or not... and take care of the paperwork later.

And inciodently... I've lived abroad... and do have the right to live in the EU.

You can't dictate who answers and how... read the terms of service you agreed to.

You aren't going to get the answer you want to hear... you are going to get the answer you NEED to hear.

We know on the bigamy and don't want that so bigamy should have never came into it. Did you ever hear of immigrations VISA's?

Have you even talked the UK embassy yet to ask them about it, what it costs, what the wait times are, what the quotas are? This is the very first thing you need to do before you plan anything else... everything hinges on that VISA. Everyone that asks for one doesn't get it... only a certain number do.

Which UK Country, Ireland? Scottland? England? Whales?

Do you have a job there yet, IF they award you a VISA?

That's just for starters... you aren't moving to a different state... you are moving to a different country... they aren't anything remotely the same. This is like moving across the country on steroids... I've moved back and forth to a different EU country from the USA twice... counting the move back that's 4 separate moves. This was as a Civilian... not as a Military member.

This is going to take a lot of time.. its going to be frustrating... its likely to be expensive as well.

Have you planned on what happens if you get turned down on your VISA request?
