My friend is 17 yrs old and starting dating a 24 yr old guy they haven't had sex but her parents are threatening to put him in jail even though he has tried talking to them and has even said to agree to any rules they have about her going out places with I'm, curfews, and having some one come along with them everywhere they go... my question is can they still press charges on him if they dontstop seeing each other even if she's about to turn 18 on the 1st of October?

Until she is 18, however, her parents control things. If they tell him to back off he better back off or can get into trouble for parental interference.

I do have to wonder about a 24 yr old dating a 17 yr old. That's a very wide gap at their ages.

At 18 she may date him if she wishes, at 17 her parents can stop her. And yes depending on where this is, there are various things the parents can do.

So she needs just to wait till she is 18. If he really loves her, he will wait.
