    No, but this is often part of a relocation package.

    Unless your less includes an early termination clause, the landlord can hold you to the balance of the lease. And in FL they don't have to mitigate by trying to find a replacement.

    So you have three choices:

    1) negotiate a buyout - your company should help you with this as part of the relocation assistance
    2) Sub let- Find someone to sub let (if the lease allows)
    3) Find a replacement tenant

    Agree, it is not uncommon for larger companies to offer help in these areas for their employees that are being transferred. So I would discuss this with HR first.
