Theft over 5000 first offence Canada, please help.
I didn't something really really stupi and I regret it so much.. I stole from my employer from crediting my debit card from the debit machine. It was over 5000 and it's my first offense. I was just fired from my job and my boss told me I'm under criminal investigation and he contacted the labour board. I have no idea what to expect nor what to do. I'm 26 years old and have a loving girlfriend and I'm terrified to tell her what I did. I don't what to lose her and I really don't want to go to jail. I have not been charged yet. And Ive been sitting at my house or 3 says now not being able to do anything. My nerves are driving me crazy. Any information would be more then appreciated. What could I expect to happen to me and when?

Certain english speaking countries like the UK actually do spell it that way. That's why I asked.

Theft over 5000 first affence Canada, please help.
I'm 26 years old in Canada Ontario and I did something really really bad and I regret it with my life... I stole from my employer over a term of 3 months. I did this through the debit machine by swiping my card for refunds.. I was in desperate need of money and I know its no excuse to do something this severe. I really wish I didn't do it but I can't take it back now.

I was just recently fired from my job, and when I called to get my last pay check, the owner told me I was under a criminal investigation and was reported to the labour board. I'm stressing out right now, I never did anything like this in my life, never had a criminal record and I really don't know what to expect.

I have not yet been charged, no one approached me or came to my door.
I've been sitting here for 3 days stressing out and my nerves are taking over my entire mind and body.

I have a girlfriend who I have been in love with for the past 3 years and I'm terrified to tell her.

Anyone know what I could expect? Any advice?
I really don't want to go to jail and I will accept reasponsibilties for my actions and also what ever happens..

    Please help.
