About once every 4-6 months depending on your pace. What pace do u take per a mile and ow long are the runs on average at one time.

7-10 miles per week -- usually 3 times per week. Last two weeks I have only ran twice / week. Pace is generally is around 7:30-7:45 minute miles unless I am doing interval training -- and that can flucuate sometime faster/ slower depening on what my goal that day it.

Try taking the toe part of your shoe and see if you can bend it up to where your ankle would be. If u can do it easily then you need running if you can't that's a good thing. But you shouldn't need to replace them for like6 months maybe even a year if only run that much. If you have any extreme questions id see some people at yourr local running shoes store. Hope I can be of help!

Good suggestions. I have talked to a few runners who say every 3 months but that seems a bit excessive. I am thinking 6 months is more reasonable considering my weekly mileage.

I agree with you but if you can ever bend your shoes easy then you need a new pair. Also just for the record your being given direction from an 18 your old who runs cross country I'm not like a coach or anything so my advice may not be top notch. But I've ran for 5 years and this is my 6th and I've always been competitive. So if you have any other questions let me know. Also just for the record its not as if I'm stupid in this subject either. Any other questions related to runnign just ask.
