    Winterize toilet
Do new Kolher toilets have a trap that needs antifreeze to winterize?

    Hi Barry

All toilets have internal traps, so yeah, you need to empty the toilet tank of water and then fill the TANK (not the bowl) with a non-toxic antifreeze solution. Flush the toilet and that will evacuate the water from the bowl leaving the non-toxic antifreeze throughout the entire internal trap of the toilet!

Any remaining non-toxic antifreeze in the tank will serve to keep the flapper wetted throughout the winter season and should allow you to return with no issues inside the tank.

Any more questions just let me know, OK?

Yes they all do... its part of the water you see in the bowl.

Pour antifreeze into that. Make sure the tank and the lines are in fact dry too.

Now, What about the other traps, (sink, washer, vanity? Shut the power off and drain the water heater. Let's not forget about the water left in the pipes after you shut the water off tom the house. Blow them out with compressed air.
Going on a winter vacation? Look for me out on Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota. Haven fun. Tom
