I'm looking for a movie that I barely remember, that I watched as a kid. The movie was about a boy on some sort of adventure I think he passed through a painting and has to fighting an evil witch. He meets a giant along the way and has to cross a lake of acid. Not the never ending story though. I know it isn't much to go on.
