Case worker just called me and said my 46 year old son with schizophenia will be getting a 10 day to vacate notice. He has social security and medicare but will end up back on the street with no home.He needs free legal help.

Does he qualify for legal aid?

Where is he (state? City?)? Have you checked for a legal aid group?

Is he on and taking meds?

Call Catholic Charities or Lutheran Social Services for guidance. They often offer transitional housing, budget help, day-to-day guidance, etc.

Not sure about legal aid
He does take 3 times a day meds plus weekly shot. Case worker tries to make sure he takes them.

How "with it" is he? How much help does he need seeking services? The case worker should be like gold for him.
