I am getting married and my fiancé wants to adopt my daughter. Please give me advice!
I have a daughter that is 8 and we live in Wisconsin. We have not seen or heard from her dad in about 3 years. He has not paid child support in about 2 years. My fiancé has been my daughters "father" for 4 years. I am just wondering what I can do so that my fiancé can adopt her? I don't even know where to start or where to go. Like I said she is 8 and I think he has maybe seen her for no more that a month out of her whole life, also has only paid like $2000 in child support for 8 years. Please help me and point me in the right direction. Thank you.
