Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately much of what is written about dogs is very poor, both books and worse yet, most websites. Years ago there was a great dog expert on another site named Findley, that always said any book was better than no book at all, but sometimes I wonder. Wish he was still around to help me with the tougher questions. I am afraid he died. Anybody interested in a good book on dogs needs to see https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dogs/i...tml#post251804 I just finished The Other end of the Leash, by Patricia B. McConnell. It is a very good book. It was high time I read some newer material. I don't want to be presenting the best of the 90's like some people do the best of the 50's. The basic premise of that book is that people are primates and do primate things which doesn't work well with dogs that expect canine things. Primates hug, canines don't, etc.
I would not trust it, you just don't know what you will get out of it. If you are having a specific problem with your dog that you want to handle I suggest getting a book on just that problem. There are a lot of useful information packed books out their now. Patricia B. McConnell has many good books out, and a few little booklets for the not so active readers. ("The Cautious Canine", "Feisty Fido", "How to be the Leader of the Pack...And have Your Dog Love You For It"... just to name a few).
Another good dog enthusiast author is Nicole Wilde, here books I would also recommend. If you are looking for basic obedience her book titled : 'Train Your Dog - The Positive Gentle Method' is super. It has step by step instructions and explains things in easy to understand english for beginners.
I got a copy of sit stay fetch ebook, I was not impressed at all and I was refunded my money just like they said they would do if I was not satisfied. I also got to keep the ebook, which I still have.
It is a basic knowledge book for beginners and people that have no idea about the basic care of dogs. It doesn't really provide any useful information in my opinion (unless you don't know what a dog is). It's a good free book for general info for someone who has never owned a dog and knows nothing about them, but it's not a good training book worth any amount of money.
If you'd like, I can try sending the file via email. It's a pdf file that opens with adobe reader. (does anyone know if you can send theses files?)
The ebook I really like is called Teach Your Dog 100 English Words. People really get a kick out of some of the things my dog knows... It's a great ebook.
I had the opportunity to talk with the dog trainer and author of this book, and it's legitimate.
This is a great book to add to your dogs intelligence. I don't mind sharing this one either...

Frankly, many people need a very basic book. On another site today, I explained that the 5 month old male puppy wouldn't be coming into heat. Honest.

Some other things it teaches is that dogs need water, food, and a doghouse if outside.
How to walk a dog on a leash.
How to call your dog.
The book teaches by giving examples rather than instructions as well.

Please PM me with details.
I'm interested to have a copy.
TQ very much:)
I don't know much about the book but I will tell you this you can get a free 6 day training guide. One lesson a day. I found these lessons extremely helpful. Like I said it is completely free no strings attached. And the saying is true S
Sorry the saying is some of the best things in life are free
I don't think the SitStayFetch is all that basic. You can teach your dog a lot of things just by using this book. I think that the most important thing is not to have a complete step-by-step instruction on how to teach your dog every trick imaginable, but rather to get into the feel of training - to understand how training works and why. Once you do that you can teach your dog practically anything you like and you will never need to buy another book again.
For more info about SitStayFetch, you can check out a couple of SitStayFetch reviews. I think that it is a good book.
