Whenever I watch a video be it a news item or movie etc it keeps starting and stopping ididnt have this problem when I was with Virgin broadband

Firstly have you completely cleared your internet cache.
Have you tried a different browser ?
Also streaming video like as much bandwidth (speed) as you can throw at it.
Excessive buffering is an indicator of lacking speed.
