I am a 16 year old girl and I've never had sex. I have a swollen right labia and it's VERY painful. I looked inside the lip and there was a dark line. I don't know what to dk and I'm scared.

You need to see a Physician - my guess? An infection?

I don't want to tell my mom. I'm scared. What's wrong with me.

Well, you're going to have to tell her something in order to get a doctor's appointment. Why not tell her?

Because I'm embarrassed and self conscious and I don't want to go to the doctor.

Well, if you don't get it looked at and treated, it will probably get worse and more painful and swollen. Is that okay?

I told you what's wrong with you - it's probably an infection.

It is foolish and dangerous to diagnose your problem without a physical examination and lab work.

If you wait until your blood stream picks up this infection you will have some serious problems.

Do whatever it takes and that probably includes telling your mother but get to a Physician.

I'm sure your mother has the same standard issue female "equipment" and will understand.
