You do realize that if you do this, you will be giving up all rights to your daughter. That your mom can decide not to let you see your daughter or have any contact with her.

Also the father will need to agree to it.

Why are you considering this? What advantage do you think it will give to you, your mother and your daughter.

Also, depending on your state, your mom may not be able to adopt as a single parent--she may need to be married at least a year to someone who would co-adopt.

Have you considered giving your mother guardianship until you are able to care for your child yourself?
