I have a roommate who haven't pay rent at all and she has only stay with me for only 8 days.,. please I need help .she eat my food ,use the light anyhow ,smokes in the room which I told her not to .so please I want know since she has only stay there for 8 days without paying rent can I move her out without going through court?

You refer to her as a roommate. Does that mean you had an agreement for her to live with you? Or is she just a guest who came to stay for a few nights?

The thing is, if there is any chance a court would consider her a tenant, you have to go through the courts and evict her.

Have you told her to leave?

Agree, it depends on how she got into there to stay to start with.

If you had an agreement for her to pay you, and to pay bills, and she isnot, she is a renter.

If you invited her to stay a few days and she won't leave, she is a guest
