    Adoption
My daughters biological father has never been in her life she is now 5 and my husband wants to adopt her. How do we go about this and how much will it all cost?

    Synnen
    1. Get a lawyer
    2. Contact the biological father and have him established as the father
    3. Get him to give permission for adoption.
    4. Go to court and have the biological father relinquish rights while your husband assumes them through adoption.

You CAN do an adoption without a lawyer, but you can also have a bone set without a doctor. I don't recommend either. If just ONE piece of paperwork or action is done wrong, the adoption can be overturned at a later date.
