How do I turn off the water to an water tank in order to change the water meter?
I need to change the water meter on our pressurized bladder-type water tank. I see a shut off valve for the water leaving the tank but I don't see one to shut off the water coming into the tank. So when I go to untighten the water meter water leaks out.

Is this a well or city water?

Your post's confusing. A bladder tank indicates a pump system while a water meter points to a city water system. It sounds like you have a pump system but are misusing the term "water meter". Can you describe this water meter for us? Better yet a picture, Back to you, Tom
