    Assignment time...
When were speed limits introduced in Queensland? I'm looking this all up on the interne t but so far all I can find is when they were changed from mph to km/hr (miles per hour to kilometres per hour). Any help would be appreciated :) I refuse to stop searching myself but if I can't find anything very useful I may use this as a back up as long as the information is completely fact. This is for science by the way. Thanks :)

Well, the first information I got was "The first maximum speed limit was the 10 mph (16 km/h) limit introduced in the United Kingdom in 1861."

Which means, Queensland should be sometime after that year.

Another one from Wiki: "The urban default, which prior to the 1930s was 30 miles per hour (48 km/h),"

Which suggests sometime before 1930, unless Queensland was not considered urban.

I also found this: Road Safety Firsts In Australia which gives some vague information about its introduction.

You might look for "Queensland motor act". I haven't looked this up, but there might be some information in the earliest version of the act you can find.
