    How can I make friends?
I know its an odd question to ask, but I feel like I need some new friends. I can't be around my current friends or long without wanting to punch them and I know that's not right :( I find it hard to make friends anyway, but it feels like mine are pushing me away. I'm not very social so whenever I do go out, I don't talk to anyone really and I don't even know where I'd meet new people. I'm quite shy, but when I meet new people, even after awhile I'm still quiet and shy I need some help please guys, thanksx

I think you pretty much answered your own question: https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/mental...ht-700183.html.

You say your boyfriend has friends, lots of friends. Aren't you with him he's with his friends?

You say were cutting. Now you've stopped. I think you need to speak to a therapist.

Hasn't anyone spoken to you about talking to a trained person?

Okay. So a lot of people have this problem. And being a teenager is the hardest really! Just what you want to do is be friendly, I'm sorry but it's hard when your quiet. I've been there. Just for one day to start with, be outgoing. Talk to people. It's easier then it sounds.

I do public speaking - the concept is the same. When you're in a crowd or a group focus on one person. Talk to them. Gradually widen that circle.

I don't think you can go from shy to outgoing. I don't think being shy is a detriment. You can learn to meet people, talk and interact with people, and still remain shy and quiet. Not everyone needs to be the life of the party.

His friends are all the popular ones and they don't like me because of who I am. I've tried to arrange some therapy but they haven't got back to me yet, but thanks anyway

We have a member who did cut and is very knowledgeable. Let me see if I can find her.

It's good that you recognize the issue and are seeking help. A lot of people don't.

Your boyfriend sounds like a really nice guy. He apparently loves/likes you more than he loves/likes his friends!

I'm thinking the same thing. The grammatical errors are atrocious!
