I have to take a hair test for a job. I hadn't smoked in years and over this summer smoked maybe a total of 10 times( I don't think it was that many), 1-3 hits, good stuff. One time I was VERY influenced. I have long, dark hair.
What are my chances of failing the test? From what I have read of your other answers, it seems as if my chances are pretty good. I was concerned enough to pay out of pocket and go in for a test through a lab myself. $150 for an answer: either look elsewhere or good to go.

Hair color influences hair drug tests (HDT) for all base drugs but has no influence on THC or THCA, the cannabis metabolites tested for.

Whether one tests positive on HDT is very much related to level of use and of course THC content of the smoked substance. With emphasis on the former.

Have you already tested through the private lab?

I did not test through the potential employer. I have not yet been offerred the job, but am pretty sure I will be. I went to a private lab who runs tests through the Psychemedics lab.

If you pass Psychemedics you will pass any other. They use a 10 pg/10 mg hair cutoff on their screen.

Since you already ordered I'll bet it's clean.

We shall see! I just did the test today. Not sure who the employer uses. Hoping my results come in before any offer so I can know what I am up against! I haven't had any "exposure" in nearly 30 days. Before that it was a few weeks. Again, only 10 times max in past 3 months. Stupid I know, but... can't fix stupid! :) Thanks for your advice. Its appreciated.
