Kenmore elite oasis washer model 110 28032701 stopped mid cycle, unplugged from power for 5 min when plugged back in washer at first appears to be reset, you can make adjustments to settings however no matter what you program into the washer when when turn it on it makes the same grinding type noise, not like metal grinding just a noise like a motor is running but not doing anything. Washer then has to be unplugged from outlet to be turned off. Washer is two years old.

You didn't say if you had the top or front loading model so I cannot tell you much. I am assuming it is top loading.
