How to deal with parents fighting?
I’m not sure if you can call it fighting as much as it is more of yelling from my step-father.
I’m 17 now and my mother and step-father have been fighting since I was a child. Always yelling going on in the house. My step-father yells at my mother for everything and anything. For example just recently he was yelling at her for having milk in the refrigerator because he doesn’t like milk, he hates when I eat cereal with milk or drink chocolate milk. My mom said for mac & chees so he said well don’t buy mac & chees any more.
Anything I do (because somehow it’s always wrong) he yells at me and my mother and yet his son is the ‘golden boy’ (he’s worse than me sometimes)…

I hate when he yells/they fight. For some reason it just strikes a nerve with me.
How do I deal with this?

    Thank you for your help

When my parents fought at night, I popped music in my ears and drowned it out. If it was during the day I just left for a walk.

Close the door to your room, play music, study hard, and get fantastic grades. I did the same thing, got into college, and out of the house! Every time I heard the fighting, it made me work harder to make something of myself so I could get my own place.
