    You evict them just like they were a paying tenant of no relation to you.

    You have them served with a 30 days notice to vacate... in writing... if they don't leave after 30 days you go to court to have the eviction enforced and the Sherrrifs will come and physically remove them and their stuff and put it at the curb. At that time you are free to change the locks.

    Yes notice is given in writing to him to move out. And if he will not move, formal eviction just like any renter. The fact he does not pay rent does not matter. This is how it is done

    Have you ever just talked to him, asked him to leave?

    Here is the link you need to read Virginia Eviction I agree, he can be evicted like any other person but I'd have atalk with him first about time to move on and be grown up.
