    Mobile home
We bought a 1972 mobile home about 12 years ago but never got a title on it, have been paying taxes on it all this time but need to know how to get a title for it. The man we got it from has passed away since then and I don't know if he even had a title on it. How do I get one now without a big exspense.

For manufactured homes, you can request this through the department of housing. It is actually called a 'Statement of Ownership and Location' (SOL). I believe they quit issuing actual titles. However the SOL, is all you need to prove ownership. You will need evidence of ownership. The cost is probably 50-100 dollars. The process varies a little if you are claiming it as personal or real property.

For motor homes, you should contact the DMV. There is a form, usually available online, and it is inexpensive.

Edit: Also, you will want to have the number off the HUD label, if it is still on the home and possibly a DOT moving permit if you have moved it.
