When can I legally move out?
I live in a very disfunctional house hold and right now I'm at the point of wanting to move out and leave, but I'm only 14. My friends offer me a place to live and what not when and if I ever move out, and from what I know 16 is the legal age. BUT if I move out could the police do anything to interfere or could my mother? Like at the legal age of course. I need out.

Laws vary by area, so we can't know if 16 is legal or not without knowing your general locale. However, in most areas it is 18 not 16. Until you reach majority (usually 18), you are your parent's responsibility. If your friend took you in, they could be in trouble for aiding a runaway or parental interference.

If you feel you have a problem at home, talk to a school counselor.

It's 18.. not 16, unless your guardian says its OK.
