    Breaking lease agreement due to medical issues
    Is it possible to break a lease agreement with a doctors note stating my knee is deteriating due to arthritis and climbing three flights of stairs is makng it worse. Found out about arthritis 2months after moving in.

    No, medical problems are not grounds to break a lease in MOST places. Where are you?

    Have you asked if you can move to a first level apartment?

    1. Where do you live, Country ? ( we are international) If US , state

    2. Have you read you lease to see if there is any clause in it, that is the final say

    3. Have you just asked the landlord ?

    Unless you are in some sort of public housing, no.
    Your best bet is to start looking for someone to take your apartment, with permission of the landlord.
