:confused: Compaq Presario R3000 AMD Powers Off

Can you help me?

My family Compaq notebook will work a short time and then powers off by it self.
I thought perhaps the battery was among a group on the COMPAQ Recall list but found it was not.

I would appreciate your help since by now I am going nuts!

Is this happening even with the ac power plugged in? If not you might need a replacement battery.
