    Ssi and child support
My ex boyfriend was paying 127 per month when I had my son. Arkansas looked into it and found he should be paying 440. He went balistic. Got his mom to get custody of my son. Now they are talking about child support from me. I am on ssi and have been for a long bit. They live in Missouri. His mother makes even more money.well in the range of 6 digits. While I struggle with 698.00 a month. Can they take what little I have to eat and pay rent? Doesn't seem right. But they are thinking about it.

They can't take SSI. They can take SSDI. How in the world did custody get taken away from you?

I don't understand how your ex-boyfriend's mother got custody of your son because he wasn't paying the correct amount of support.

    No, SSI cannot be taken.
