Hi I had unprotected sex about 10 days after my last period. I took plan be in the morning and about 6 days later I started to very lightly bleed, then I just had brown discharge. The bleeding didn't even last half a day and was very light, but the brown discharge lasted a couple of days but was still very light. Now it has been 39 days since my last period and still no period. I have taken two pregnancy tests and they were both negative. My nipples are sore and my back hurts. Last week I got cramps and then I had a lot of discharge. No morning sickness. It's been 4 weeks since having unprotected sex. Why am I not getting my period? Or am I pregnant? I'm just confused!

Well the plan be is suppose to make you miss a period so that's normal, my friend went through the same situation and we thought she was pregnant but on the second month after she took plan be she got her period so don't worry and wait another month to see if you will get your period before you start to worry but I'm pretty sure your fine

Why are you confused ? I guess you did not read the warning material that came with the pill? There are many many side effects, missing the next one or two periods are just one of them.

This of course does not mean you are not pregnant, since the morning after pill is not 100 percent effective. * also should be in the material

So you wait to see if you get next months period.

I'm not reading that Plan B causes a person to skip a period. In fact, the manufacturer seems to be saying the opposite: "The only way of knowing Plan B One-Step® has been effective is when you get your next period, which should come at the expected time, or within a week of the expected time. If your period is more than seven days late, you may be pregnant.” Plan B One-Step® (levonorgestrel): Frequently Asked Questions

It is entirely possible that your friend was pregnant and miscarried early.

It's says it right there that it May prevent or delay ovulation

I have not read this, but from experience talking with many women that use it, it causes late or delayed cycle for one to two months which often appear as a missed cycle

This doesn't contradict what I posted. "We" are talking about menstruation, not ovulation.
