How do I find the defrost timer in my side by side elite kenmore fridge? It suddenly stopped working. Tried plugging it everywhere and still nothing turns on.

Sometimes they are under the refrigerator and others have them next to thermostat. Just look around and you will find it. It's a square plastic box with a rounded corner and a one way screw on front to advance the timer. You will have to check your defrost heater and terminator, too, as they go out more often. The heater is under the freezer coils and terminator is wired in series clipped on side of coils.

You have one of those electronic models so you will need to take off the cover to the freezer coils and check the defrost heater. If it is bad you can replace it fairly cheap. But the control board is $106. You may also need to check the thermistors, but you need the manual to know the correct resistance at the temperature it is at the time you test it.
