    40 weeks pregnant
Im 40 weeks pregnant today and still no sign of baby

I was 2/5 engaged beginning of week ( seen by midwife) and I've tried everything, pineapple, sex, sex and sex, walks, raspberry leaf tea but nothing

But I do have a few mild pains around my pelvic area... please tell me that labour will soon be here!!

The baby will be here when it's ready. Are you seeing your Dr. weekly at this point in your pregnancy? If so, what did the Dr. say?

It's possible that you could go into labor soon, but I've had patients who lost their mucous plug as many as 2 weeks before labor began.

Did you ring your midwife to ask her how far along before an induction is considered.

I'm not saying that YOU have to wait that long. I've just seen it happen to some of my patients.

You need to ask her even if she does sweep you. You are too close to being post-date, and that can put your baby at risk. You definitely don't want to go 2 more weeks, that's for sure!

It doesn't say anything in my notes about a sweep or anything, so if she doesn't do anything I will defo ask for something! Its getting too much! :(

I tried everything yesterday, long walk, curry, hot bath, raspberry leaf tea, and the only thing that happnd was heartburn from the curry lol xx

I don't recommend anything other than walking and/or sex.

Keep me posted. I have to go to bed now as I had a very busy night at work delivering babies. I hope everything goes well with you and that you deliver in the next few days.

Im 40 weeks and 4 days pregnant... just been to midwives for a check up and she said I'm 1 cm dilated and she did a sweep on me!

Is "sweeping" commonly done in late pregnancy or when the mother is overdue? I've never heard of it.
