Greetings. I first was looking for information about the Alabama Landlord Tenant law in which I found out that there wasn't one via this site.

Alabama just passed a Landlord-Tenant law which went into effect January 1, 2007. Please refer to the State of Alabama webpage and do a search on Landlord-Tenant to find the new document.

Please note, this law ONLY applies to leases/agreemtns made on or after January 1st of 2007 and does not apply to leases/agreements dated prior.

There are MANY websites with state L-T laws on them that are updated frequently including RentLaw and Nolo Press. Also, many state AG offices have links to L-T laws on their own websites...
