What voltage is supposed to be going to the igniter on a Maytag MDG3000AWW?
I was given a Maytag MN: MDG3000AWW several years ago and have never tried. My daughter's dryer went out and I said she could have the one I'd been storing.
After making the connections; I realized the dryer didn't heat up. I disconnected the gas and tested it without the gas connected. The igniter would not get hot. I performed a resistance check on the igniter and it read 75 ohms. I then checked the voltage that goes to the igniter when the dryer is started and it read 27VAC. I believe the igniter requires 120VAC. Can you help?
