    Counterfeit confederate bills?
I have some bills I obtained from a local auction. They appear to be confederate bills that were glued into a scrapbook. With them is an article about a man that had made confederate bills back then. Two questions: How can I tell if these are real or counterfeit confederate bills? Which are worth more to collectors... real or counterfeit?

If they are "real conterfeit" bills made during the time of the war, with history of the person who made them. And this can be confirmed by a expert, Most likely they would have much more value to a collector if they are conterfeit made during the civil war with history attached to them. There are of course 1000s and 1000s of fake bills make very recently to sell to collectors which have no value at all.

and of course the actual real bills, while they have value will not make you rich of course

Any coin shop will know. They might be worth something either way, but being glued into a scrapbook will take value away either way. Confederate money is still commonly found and a lot of it isn't worth much, so don't get your hopes up. You can look on eBay for ideas.

Yes, if not glued even at best a couple hundred, so as I noted, not rich, but a nice piece of history
