Back child support after death of reciepent
My Ex Wife died this last May [ 2012 ]. Our Children are 28 and 36. I incurred back child support over the 20 years I paid. At 66 I am fully retired, but still work.
My wage and SS are both paying this arrearage. Her Widowers' income [ etc ] were always disallowed in determining monthly payments. If anything must continue to be paid, it should be to my Adult Children.
How can and/or can thiese payments be cancelled?

If you are in the US the back support cannot be "cancelled."

    It must be paid.

You can always consult with an Attorney. You can ask your children to "forgive" the back payments.

That's the only way to end your obligation to pay.
