    Price of plumbing repairs
We own a house in Columbus, OH and have renters there. We had a plumbing issue primarily in the main bathroom (toilet/bathtub) - the property managers went out three times to unclog the drain with a snake between May-July. Those cost close to $300 each and then in August we had a $1400 bill. It seems really high to me, but I wanted to get some feedback. Here's the description of what was done in August:
"Found pipe damaged, cut and removed cast to vanity and tub, unclogged
toilet via power snake, snaked tub line, sink line, cut out cast clean out and
snaked out main line. rebuilt all cast that was removed and replace with PVC
    and proper fittings"
This work was done in the evening when the toilet backed up. Is a $1400 bill out of line? Or is that a realistic amount for the work that was done? All access to the pipe was easily accessible from the basement - so no walls or floors had to be opened up or repaired. So far I don't have much more information other than the costs for the work were $72/hr plus the materials. Since I'm sure this did not take 15 or more hours to complete, I am suspicious of the charges, but would like to know if it is an acceptable amount. I'd appreciate any feedback!

A few questions first. Union or nonunion? Hourly wage? Just one man? Overtime charge for working at night? List of materials used? Back to you, Tom
