    chances of survival
I was wondering if there are any chances of survival if a baby is born in the eight month of pregnancy (36 weeks) with breathing difficulties, immature lungs, and pneumonia ? The doctors here say that the baby is in a very bad condition, he is fighting for life at the moment. At the moment, the baby is 3 days old, and it cannot breathe by itself so he is put on a mechanical ventilation and it is set in a incubator. Also, he is given antibiotics for the infection and surfanctats for the lungs. The chest x-ray says that the condition of the lungs is slightly better than the first day. What are the consequences of this condition.
    Thanks in advance
