How do I know if I have scar tissue or not?

I take it you have a belly ring... when was it done? Is it infected, or did it rip out, do you not want it anymore?
People scar differently from each other, so if it's a new cut in the skin, it will be a while before you know.

You need to keep it very clean, daily, with soap and water and something antiseptic like peroxide. You may be allergic to the metal. You may need to discuss this with both the place you got it, and a doctor. You may not be able to keep it, or have to get a different metal, or stop wearing it for a while.
And if it's under tight clothing a lot, that's not a good idea...

    Keloid and scar tissue!!
Is keloids and scar tissue the same thing ? What ways can you get rid of it ? Does the treatment work for both ? Are they both definitely removal? How do you know if you have it or not ? Please help!

Keloids are tissue that leaves scars longer than regular skin, on which scars smooth out and mostly disappear over time. (I still have those little bumps from stitches taken out 50 years ago.) You know you tend to have keloid skin just by looking... there is no treatment, although aloe and vitamin E creams soothe and help a little. Any surgical attempt to remove it will just create more scar tissue. You could look into dermabrasion (basically sanding the scar down) or possibly some laser treatment. I never did.
