    Lawsuit on cop for defamation.
When my sister in law was arrested, cop was trying to get her to say I was dealing drugs and he would let her go. I don't do or deal drugs

It is defamation of someone believes it. Did your sister-in-law believe it? If not - no lawsuit.

    It's called "conducting an investigaton."

What was she arrested for? Keep in mind that your only witness will be your sister-in-law and her reputation will be on the line.

That's a side issue because I see no lawsuit.

This cop has been out you get my boyfriend. Yes he has arrested him. None which have been drug related nor do either of us have a history of drugs. I believe it is also retaliation because the cop never could get him into real trouble. We fought once, he was arrested for DV, he missed a court date, pure accident, over a speeding ticket he was contesting. The city made me pay 1000 dollars cash only to bail him out of jail for that one. I think that was a bit of retaliation. But I had the money the same day and got him right out. The drug thing started with an unhappily married man down the street claiming we had a lot of traffic at our home when we first moved in. duh, we needed help. And, a guy we let stay with us worked for a rumor spreader in this town stating we dealt drugs. But now, we don't have people over, we stay home, yet this cop still wants to ruin us. I'm not guilty, but how long can you put up with this crap before you decide to sell your house and skip town just to avoid drama? I have been trying to lose weight by watching my diet and cutting out the alcohol since last September, I have noticeably lost 40 lbs, cop told my sister
    In law, Jenny Craig don't
Work that quick, accusing me of using drugs. This was recorded on tape.

My sister in law and my boyfriend got into an argument over a carpet cleaner. This is his sister by the way. They didn't beat each other up or anything but they were contacting each other, nothing new, he has scratches on his side from her nails, so she was arrested. She called them out of anger. They love each other very much but unfortunately fight like kids still. She wouldn't want her brother in danger. He asked them to please avoid arresting her but they said there was no choice. On the way to the jail, the cop commented how the tape was recording in the car. He bad mouthed my boyfriend and I the whole way. He claimed my neighbors were complaining of us dealing drugs, and basically was looking for reasons to arrest him again. The Jenny Craig thing about me was on video too.

And here is the definition of defamation: http://www.expertlaw.com/library/per.../defamation.ht

How were you injured by the Officer's statements? Did your sister-in-law believe anything the Officer said about you?

Scratches from fingernails is assault - was she criminally charged?

Is this a very small Town and the Police have nothing better to do than cause problems for you?

Sorry this is the officer doing his job, not any grounds for a law suit. This is normal and standard operating procedue to get someone to snitch out someone else
